If Pakistan has a future,it is embodied in Malala Yousafzai. Yet the Taliban so feared this 14-year-old girl that they tried to assassinate her. Her supposed offense? Her want of an education and her public advocation for it.

Taliban open fire at Aaj TV office in Karachi

KARACHI:Gunmen on motorcycles opened fire at the offices of a television news channel in Karachi on Monday,wounding two people,including a security guard,police officials said.

The gunmen fled after the attack,which targeted the building of local news channel Aaj TV,police said.

Taliban say they will not harm the Islamic Bomb (aka Pak Nukes)

The Taliban has no plans to attack Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal,its spokesman declared,as the militants kept up their campaign to avenge Osama bin Laden’s death,ramming a pickup truck laden with explosives into a police station and killing six people.
